Senator Hervieux Payette and members of the Haida Nation
Yesterday, I had the honour of attending an event in Ottawa with WWF-Canada, Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) and members of the Haida Nation. The event celebrated the establishment of Gwaii Haanas, Canada`s Canada’s First National Marine Conservation Area. This event outlined the importance for greater cooperation in protecting Canada`s biodiversity. This is a cause that I have long defended especially when it comes to and ethical and sustainable seal hunt by our canadian hunters.
